Senior Pastor Noel Petersen

Pastor Noel has been Senior Pastor at Calvary since 1982. Prior to coming to Calvary, Noel was pastor for seven years at Christ Lutheran Church in Stover, Missouri. Pastor Noel was ordained into the Lutheran Church in 1964. His father and brother are also Lutheran Pastors. Noel and his wife, Ruby, were married in 1960 and have four sons, five grandsons and nine granddaughters.

Pastor Noel affirms the Bible as the inspired, inerrant and infallible Word of God, and is committed to maintaining the purity of the Word in his ministry.

Before coming to Calvary I traveled with Team Xtreme for three years.  TX is a ministry out of YWAM that uses feats of strength, such as  bending bars, breaking bricks, flipping cars over, and ripping telephone books to preach the Gospel.  I have been to countries all over the world preaching the fullness of the Gospel that is; salvation, healing, and freedom.  I have seen the power of God bring salvation to over 40,000 people, and heal people from various sicknesses and pain.  I have bore witness to Jesus bringing complete freedom to people who have been bound by things for years.

 My heart gravitates towards true discipleship (Ephesians 4).  It is my passion to teach, train, and equip people to bring the fullness of The Kingdom of God to wherever God is calling them to (Matthew 10:7,8).  God has blessed me with my wonderful wife Tina and two amazing boys; Titus and Tryg. Tina and I are so excited to be here at Calvary.  We know that God has called us here according to His purpose. This church truly is like family.  We look forward to everything that God is going to do in this place for His glory.
